  • Sponsoring parents without getting visa stamped

    Hi,
My wife is pregnant and I am planning to get my in laws here in March. But my visa(L1) is expiring in May and the company has not applied for an extension yet. So I am planning to bring them as my wife's dependent. My wife is on H1 visa valid from October 2009. But we just have the H1 approval papers. She has never gone for stamping and hence she does not have her visa stamped. Her passport still shows an L2 stamping. Will this be an issue for issuance of her parents visa ?

    Thanks
    Sanjeev

Visa stamping is not required for sponsoring relatives. It is required for the person (self) to enter the US.

Just send the copy of H1 approval. That is, proof of legal status.
