spelling mistake in fathers passport- Pls help

Hi,
In my fathers & mothers passport, there is a spelling mistake in father first name. eg. his name is spelled with extra 'A' in his name.

while his name in my passport is correctly spelled.

I am about to take apponitment for tourist visa for them, with me as a sponsor for there visit to USA.

Let me know whether it is safe to get it corrected and then take appointment for visa stamping? or is it ok, and won't create any issue?

Does US embassy people or during immigration check do they compare father name spellings in my details and parents passports ??

That is not a problem.

Your father's name is whatever is there in HIS passport.
