IMPORTANT: US rolls out new online visa form in India

Here's an update that will be useful for all those planning on applying for a US visa later this month:

According to the US dept of State website: "For Embassies and Consulates that have converted to this new process, the DS-160 has replaced all of the following [non-immigrant visa application] forms: DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, DS-158, and DS-3032, which are no longer necessary".

The only exception to this rule is the Visa E category.

I request the administrators of this website to take also take note of these upcoming changes.

But what does this mean, anything major in how we do the application or is it less hassle form filling. They also talk about pre-processing. what do they pre-process. any idea? THanks
