Help please

I am staying in USA for the past 7 months. My L1 visa expires on
February 13, 2005. But my I-94 allows me to stay here till March, 2007.

I have applied for a slot in the Chennai consulate for my parents to visit
here. They will appear on November 30, 2004. My company will apply for my
extension only in December 2004.

Will the fact that my visa is available only till February 2005 affect my parents getting their visitor's visa in any way? Please let me know.

Will they give reduced period of visa?

If they ask a question like "Your son has visa for only 3 more months, why do you want a six month visa?" What should they answer?
