Hello friends,
I need your suggestions and help on my parents' visitor visa application case. Thanks in advance!
My parents' visitor visa application in Beijing (from Hu Nan Province) was rejected yesterday (November 2). It is a lot of pain for them and for US. They live in a small town in Hu Nan Province. It took them a lot of time to overcome the troubles to get to the US Embassy in Beijing. And got the bad result in just a few minutes then. We actually prepared the documents carefully and tried getting as many items as possible. But the Embassy officer just asked my parents a few questions and then rejected them, she even did not take a look at the documents my parents brought to her. She also did not give the reason why she rejected the case. The questions she asked are list here (there may be a few other questions, I will get them later)
1. How many children do you have? Where are them and what do them do? How many grandchildren do you have?
2. Have your child returned to China to visit you before?
3. Do you have some family photos and show me?
I have two brothers and one sister in China. They are younger than me. They are married and do not have kids. They have professional careers in China. Only I live in the US. I have one kid. I am permanent resident and did not return to China to visit after I came here in 1997.
My parents answered her questions as above and showed her a few family photos. Then she rejected the case without looking at any document.
We do not know the reasons for the reject. But I guess that is because I never went back to China.
Anybody who knows similar situation or had experience to work out this case, please share your knowledge and help. Or if you know any lawyer who can handle this type of issue, please let me know ([email protected]). How soon can my parents apply for the next time and what needs to be prepared for?
Thank you very much,
Vic
