Non english speaking parents coming to US (Houston)

Friends,

My parents will be coming to US for the first time but they don't know english, rather they might face some problem with accent and also they are not familiar with the process/ procedures like immigration/custom clearance etc.
My questions are as follows:-

While traveling will they get any travelling assistance from airlines?
what will they do if they don't understand what immigration officer ask while immigration (Will a written letter from me will suffice?)

Any help on these questions will be highly appreciated

You can't expect any help from airlines on this.

You can write a letter to be presented at the port of entry. Details in our visitors visa section. If there is any fellow passenger that can understand them, the officer may ask him/her to help. Otherwise, bad luck.
