Visitor Visa for my parents

Hi,

I am on H1 and my work permit is valid only till 31st May 2010. I have applied for my extension and it would be 2-3 months.
In the mean time will it be possible to apply Visitor Visa(b2) for my parents? Will there be any problem because my WP is valid only till 31st May 2010?
