For how long have I been in US?

I am on L1 Visa and have come to US on June 2008 and went to India for 2 weeks in Oct 2008. Came back to US in Oct 2008 and stayed here till
May 2009 and went back to India again for 2 weeks. I have come back again to US in May 2009 and left to India in July 2009.

I am now back to US on Dec 2009. I am sponsoring visitor visa to my mother.

If the US consulate officer asks here since how long your son has been in the US. What should the answer be? Dec 2009 or Jun 2008?
