waitlist appointment

Hi,

My mom's visa rejected at Chennai consulate under 214(b) section. I got the next appointmnet only in February. I can see a link "waitlist appointment" in the tts website. What is it for? Can I get a an earlier appointment If request in that?

Waitlist appointment is for people who are in waiting list. If someone cancels, someone in waitlist will get appointment.

Look for cancellation

Hi Preetha,

Keep watching the TTS web site. when someone cancels, you can see the dates turning to blue color. Use "Modify/Cancel appointment" option and follow the procedure to modify the date.

To use "Waitlist appointment" option you have to fax your mom's passport front and back to TTS. Try that too.
