Dear All,
I came to the US under F1 Visa for the last 7 years and has changed to H1B starting Oct 1, 2009.
I have come home (Viet Nam) serveral times to visit my family the last serveral years and have no problem getting a Visa to come back to the US.
My Mom tried to applied for the tourist Visa last year to come for my graduation. However, they denied her visa application. I'm her only child and she has not been able to see me walk the stage.
My Mom is a nervous type of person so they probably thought she had something to hide from her body language. She simply got nervous, that's all. She had no intention to stay in the US. Although she is divorced, she have a good job, 2 houses. They didn't review her financial paper at all. She applied again twice but got denied again. I'm getting married to an American Citizen this March and want my Mom to attend the wedding. However, I'm afraid that they won't grant her the visa. Here's my questions:
1) Should I fill out the sponsor paper form I-134 for my Mom? Would it help? Should my fiance or her parents fill it out?
2) What other things we can do to increase my Mom chance of getting a visitor visa?
Thank you so much for your advice. I truly appreciate your help.
