  • Applying for mom's and in-law's visitor visa at the same time

    Hi,

We are permanent residents of the US and are planning to sponsor visitor visa for my mother who is in India.
We have almost all the sponsor documents ready and the DS-160 etc., is all complete.

We now have a plan of also applying visitor visa for my sister-in-law's family (sister-in-law 35 yrs, her husband 37 yrs and 1 son - 6 yrs) just to decrease the burden of collecting all the sponsor documents again...

Note: My husband is sponsoring for/inviting all of them

    My question is:

    1. Is applying for all of them at the same time gonna affect my mom's chances in any way of getting the visa approved?

    2. Would you suggest applying my mom's first and then go with my in-law's?

    3. My mother is not currently employed and does not have any property on her name but an unmarried son (my brother) who is doing his engg. and also has proof of other investments to show/prove her ties with the home country. Shud this be sufficient?

    Thanks and appreciate your response.

Everyone is looked at separately. Therefore, if you are financially capable of sponsoring everyone at the same time, there is no problem.
