visitor visa for parents

Dear Friends,

I have my H1 expiring in August end and want to plan my parents trip to US during June or July (not possible earlier due to certain pending work in India),

1. is it ok for them to go for interview in April and, ask the visa officer for 5 to 6 months of visitor visa or will there be any problem? or should we ask only for 3 months of visa and plan their trip as early as possible before August end?

2. Will there be any problem at POE regarding trip end date on I94 due to visa expiry? I will be able to give renewal petition copy to them during this time.

3. Will that be good to apply for renewal petition in April end (as my company is planning to apply for renewal during April end) and then get the renewal petition copy and go for interview so that they can get visa for longer period?

Your parents visa stamping, I-94 duration etc. are independent of when your own H1 is expiring, as long as you are legal in the US at all the time.
