Mother's Visitor visa interview when i have extended my visa

Hello All,
I need some guidance regarding a unique situation i am in right now. I am sure many others might have gone thru this, but could find any related mails. Please help me.

My mother is appearing for an interview and i am sponsoring her trip. My l1 visa I-94 expired on October 30th and my company has applied for an extension on October 27th. They have not received any WAC number or receipt indicating that application is under consideration yet.

Is there any other way by which me or my company can write a letter to the consulate which will justify my position ?

Any other suggestion ? Please help.

As long as you have current employment letter, you should be fine.

If asked about your status, your parents say just what you wrote here.
