Sister & bro-in-law tourist visa - Urgent

Hi,

I am planning to invite my sister, brother-in-law and their 2 kids to the US in May.They have paid the visa fees at HDFC bank yesterday and awaiting a date at the consulate.

Can you please let me know if they need to fill up DS-160 form for each of them or just one DS-160 form for the entire family will suffice ? If only one form is needed, should the primary applicant be my sister or my bro-in-law ?

But isn't it that when scheduling an interview with the consulate from the VFS website, they will have to select the family/co-workers otion to get same interview time for all of them ?

In that case, when entering details of family members, the CEAC bar code is not needed for every individual of the family. They ask for just the passport number, name and HDFC bar-code.

Then is it necessary to have 4 CEAC barcodes ?

I am sorry immihelp, but I am still a bit confused.

So if my sisters family applies for DS-160 the sample CEAC will be as follows
Sister - CEAC001
Bro-in-law - CEAC002
Kid1 - CEAC003
Kid2 - CEAC004

Their sample HDFC bar codes are as:
Sister - HDFC001
Bro-in-law - HDFC002
Kid1 - HDFC003
Kid2 - HDFC004

Now, when my sister enters the VFS website using her passport expiry date and using her CEAC code (CEAC001) - she will select "family members travelling together" where she has to enter First Last name, passport number and HDFC receipt number for her spouse and kids.

My question is - will the system ask for their CEAC bar codes {CEAC002, CEAC003 and CEAC004} in a later page or not ?
