Documents needed for B2 visa for a friend

I wanted to invite a friend for my baby shower.

What documents would he need to apply for B2 visa if he is self sponsoring?

He is an old colleague and well-wisher of mine, had his H1 visa rejected in 2017. So what documents do I need to send him to support his B2 application?

You don't need to send anything, if he is self sponsoring (which is good for him).
