You need to tell your friend clearly that he needs to leave the US immediately or you will report him to the USCIS/CBP. And if he still does not listen, actually report him so that he can be deported.

Is sponsor get trouble if visitor change his status?

I sponsored to cousin year ago. He left on time according to I-94. He re-entered USA 2 months ago and changing his status to H1. Is there any issue/effect to me as a original sponsor. By the way he got 10 years B1/B2 multiple entry visa.
