Sir,
I have been told by many of my colleagues that once I get visitor's visa B1/B2 to US ( My wife and I got it together a month ago for 10 years duration), it is mandatory to travel ONCE in the first year of the issuance of the visa to then make it valid for the total duration of 10 years. They told me that If me and my wife did not travel in the first year since the date of issue of the visa, it will cease to be valid and we will have to get another visa.
We were planning to travel in June this year but certain compelling circumstances will prevent us from doing so for quite some time and now we wish to travel by the end of 2011. Will our visa be valid then??
Sir, my question in simple words is, is it necessary to travel once within one year since the date of issue of the visa to then make it valid for 10 years for which it has been issued??
I will grateful if you can guide us. Regards.
