  • Two questions

    Hi,

Thanks a tons for this website. It helps a lot.

Me and my wife are applying B2 visa for my mother. I have two questions.

    1) Neither me nor my wife have birth certificate. What should we do?

    2) My mother is 69 years old, and she is illiterate. I am afraid that she won't be able to handle all the paper work. I mean she won't be able give the exact paper work when the interviewer asks her even if somebody translates what document the interviewer is asking about. Is there any way by which illeterate applicants can get visa?

thanks for your help in advance,
    Dash

    1. Your wife's birth certificate is not required.

    For you, read https://www.immihelp.com/birth-certi...ion-and-visas/

    2. She will have to manage it somehow. Many in such situations manage it and get visa.

      Dear Administrator,

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I asked my brother back home to ask in the municipality office how to get my birth certificate now. I hope the procedure is easy. Do you think the birth certificate is a must required document?

Thanks for your encouragement about getting visa for my mother.
      regards,
