Incorrect last name of my Mother in my passport

Hi,

I would like to sponser my Mother on Visitor Visa. But the last name of my mother in my passport is incorrect. Will it cause any problem on issuing her visa? If yes, could any body please suggest me what needs to be done.

Get the name in the passport corrected before applying for visa. Otherwise, the wrong name will spread everywhere.

Incorrect Lastname

Incorrect last name of my mother in her passport. Actual Last name is 'KOUKUNTLA' , but the spelling in her passport is ' KOWKUNTLA' ...instead of 'U' , 'W' is printed in her passport. we are applying visa for her. Is there any problem will occur in VISA interview. please suggest me.
