Visitor Visa Sponser

Does a Sponsor for a Visitor to the US (2 week stay) need to be a relative? Or, do they accept friends as an inviter? Thank You

Doesn't have to be a relative. But it would be very difficult to get visa for a friend. Anyone can show anyone as friend.

There has to be some strong bond between two. If you can show that, that may help.
