I want to bring my parents to US for 4 months. They applied for the visa and went on for inerview at Mumbai on 9th Nov and their Visa was rejected. reason 214(B). My husband sponsered their visa. WE are greencard holder. I have only 1 brother who is also in US studying. That was the main reason for rejection.

We are planning to reapply for their visa. Both my parents are working and still have 10 years of service left. They got a leave sanction letter from government. I thought this is a very strong reason for them to go back. But the visa officers do not even look at these facts. The first question they ask is how many children and what does your son do and .... Visa rejected.. this is so frustrating.

Anyways, we all know this very well. If my brother sponsers their visa instead, do they have better chances of getting the visa approved as he is not a permant residence here in US? Will the reason of tourism and his graduation make more strong case.

Tourist visa is always for 'tourism'.

It is difficult to say whether it will be better if your brother applies because this is so subjective.

can someone please tell me if i could renew my tourist visa five months prior the expiration date.....please answer me back as it is real urgent

what do you mean by 'renew visitor visa'?

Are you referring to visitor visa extension? If yes, it is not good idea to apply for extension 5 months before expiration. And why would you want to do that anyway?
