Hi,
I am in a strange situation basically. I tried to do B2/Tourist visa for my in-laws in the last year with a help of an agent in Bangalore. That agent helped us to file all the documentation and he took the appointment twice. My in-laws couldn't make it, since my father-in-law got sick twice and had to cancel the interview twice. So the DD was taken in the name of in-laws and my agent told that, we have only one other chance to make an visa interview. So i tried to approach that guy again, unfortunately that guy is not available now, probably he would have left that agency. Now i kind of know the whole process and i have my college going nephew in Bangalore to take help. AT this particular situation, i have following questions.
1. Since its been 6 to 8 months we had filled in DS-160 for my in-laws, does it already expired? However, i do not have application id to retrieve and check it. If it is expired, is it OK to start a new application?
2. How exactly the DD taken would be useful? I mean, we have to provide the DD information while we are filling in DS-160 application? or is it something we need to provide while taking an appointment for visa interview? OR do applicants have to just carry that DD along with them while going for an interview?
Someone, please help in this regard. This is urgent.
Thanks,
Vijay
