Hi there,
I reside in the US and I am sponsoring the B2 visa for my sister in law (my Wife's brother's wife) to come and visit the United States. I have sent all required documents and she has also applied everything over there, and is awaiting her interview call. Her Husband ( my wife's brother) will not be visiting the United States with her. However, he had visited us before (2 years back) on a B 1 Visa. As you may know this is not a work visa, but a special kind of tourist business visa. The husband earns around 4lakhs per month and they plan to buy tickets to us and the other stuff will be covered by us when they come here, as they will stay with us. When I say they I am referring to the sister in law and her 2 children (3 and 4 years old). Now, they have to appear for an interview to Mumbai Consulate. What do you think are there chances of making it. She herself is a housewife and the reason to visit us is for tourism and also to visit my son's college graduation. Do you think she will get it, or would her husband's B1 Visa be a problem? 8
