I-539 Question

Hello

I have applied for my mom's extension of stay she is on B-2 visitors visa and I have got the Application recieved notice and the EAC number for the same. And now the application is in Process

Unfortunately my DAD in India is seriously ill and in the ICU. My mom would need to go back.

her current i-94 is valid till march 29th 2010.

Since this time we will not be able to wait for the approval (new i-94) or the denial notice what steps do I need to take? and also, once she returns before how long can she return? and when she does return will she have any issues at the immigration? as to she had extended and did not wait for the approval to come through?

Please, help me out in this regard.

If she leaves before Mar 29, 2010, she does not have to worry about any immigration problems.

Do I have to let the USCIS know?
