  • sister in law rejection

My mom(teacher - sponsored by daughter), sis in law (homemaker, self sponsored) and niece (sponsored by parents) had their visa interview on July 3rd at Delhi Consulate.

VO: Why are you traveling to USA?
Ans: Gonna visit LA, Vegas and Napa.
    VO: For how long?
    Ans: 2 months
    VO: do you work?
Ans: Mom said yes, govt teacher and sis in law said she takes tutions.
VO: Where does your daughter works and title?
Ans: ZZZ, City Name and Title

Mom's visa got accepted and niece and sis in law's got rejected under 214(b).

Applying for her visa again with brother this time. She has income tax returns so can I say she owns a property management business and does tutions? Also, should she mention that she is coming for baby shower and tourist purpose.

Brother works at govt bank from past 7 years and sis in law has 3 properties in her name.

Its always better to self sponsor tourist visa - that way you show that you are well to do in your home country & will return back upon completion of your vacation.

You can say that she recently joined a new business of property management for her next attempt.
