  • Need help with sponsoring B2 visa for parents

    Hi,

I will be traveling to US on H1B in September and my spouse will be accompanying me initially for one month. I will want to my parents to join me once my husband leaves. Currently my parents are not employed nor do they have much savings. But they do have property here and my sister and her kids are in India. My question is will I be able to sponsor their visa given that I show Indian bank balance and also the initial amount provided by my company for settling purposes in Us bank account. Any help regarding my state will be appreciated

Let them self-sponsor their visit. They are good to get the tourist visa easily.

The problem with my parents to self sponsor is they do not have any savings and do not have tax returns as they don’t work. Hence it will be on me to sponsor them.. Is it possible for me to sponsor them when I haven’t gone to US yet showing my Indian bank balance

Just write your name where it says who is funding the trip. It's perfectly accepatable for children to bear expenses for a trip for their aged parents.

Thank you for the answer. If I am applying for their visa as soon as I reach US, can I show funds from Us account ( I will be provided initial funds by company) and Indian account together.
