  • Can Hair color in Passport Photo and Visa Photo be different ?

    Hi,

I have applied for B2 Tourist Visa recently, but I have yet to schedule my Biometrics and Visa Interview. In my Passport photo, I have grey hair. I would like to dye my hair black before going to the USA. I would like to know whether the hair color in Passport Photo and Visa Photo can be different, or should they be of the same color, ie, grey in color ? That is, whether I can dye my hair black before the Visa Interview, even though my Passport Photo has grey color ?

    Thanks In Advance.

Should be fine - as long as your overall look is not changing drastically.

Moreover they have your finger prints to verify that its you.

Do it before you take the visa photo, and it should be fine.

If you change your appearance, expect some extra time and staring at you (both in India and US).

Changing your hair color between your passport photo and your visa interview, including dyeing it from grey to black, generally isn't an issue for visa or immigration processes. The key factor is that your appearance should still be recognizable compared to your passport photo. Small changes like hair color typically don't lead to complications, as long as other facial features are clearly identifiable.

It's okay not to change your facial appearance too much
