Hello,
Can you please tell me if it is possible to extend my mother's stay in the US based on the below facts?
3-21-2019 --> Arrival USA (Original stay until 9/20/2019)
6-15-2019 --> Departure (To Canada)
6-22-2019 --> Arrival USA
When checked on her I-94 status online, it says Admit Until Date : 09/20/2019
I thought that based on her re-entry to USA on 6/22/2019, she can stay for an additional 6 months until 12/21/2019. But her I-94 says otherwise keeping her original departure date of 9/20/2019. Please advise if she can stay until 12/22/2019 or if she needs to leave on 9/20/2019.
If we want her to stay until 12/21/2019, please advise what needs to be done. I don't want her to be seen as staying illegally. Thank you.
