Emergency appointment- visitor's visa

Hello,

I am just wondering if I can ask the consulate ppl for an emergency appointment for my parents and grand parents visitor's visa,[Hyderabad consulate] my grad walk date is approaching ( 14th of may ,2010) and I don't see any slots opening .. I have been checking the dates since long time.

Is this case considered as an emergency as per them ?

What do u suggest me to do ? just wait for the slots? or e-mail them for an emergency appmnt? Please let me know
