visitor visa question

Hello there!
My mom got the visitor visa, which is valid for one year.
She stayed in the USA for almost 6 months and left the USA in time.
Can she come back to the USA in one month after leaving it (one month in her home country and back), while her visa is still valid ?
A friend of mine told me that she has to stay in her home country for about 6 months before coming back to the USA, is any of this true?
Please, advice. Waiting.

Sure, she can come back in a month.

But let her be prepared for all of the following:

1.) Tough questions at the Port of Entry about the reason for her immediate return.

2.) Being granted a shorter stay on the I-94 for this second visit.

3.) Tough questions and even possible rejection the next time she reapplies for a visitor visa. You see, she was granted a 1-year visa instead of a 5 or 10-year visa because she was unable to satisfactorily prove her ties to her home country and her intent to return. Coming to the US twice in a year is going to convince the consulate the next time that they were right in not granting her a 10-year visa.

In order for her to be regarded a 'visitor' here, she needs to spend longer in her home country than she spends here. So if you care about the long-term consequences do not have her back or reapply for a visa for another 1.5-2 years.
