My 10 year valid visa has been cancelled by the U.S officials since there was a mistake in the visa that instead of female it was wrongly printed as male for sex. what should i do to correct it?

Which US officials cancelled? In consulate? At port of entry? Somewhere else?

visa rejected

visa was rejected by the officials in the port of entry and they allowed me to enter U.S. and asked me to correct it at the U.S. consulate at chennai.

You would need apply for new visa all over again at Chennai.
