Recently my mother has received 214(b) for her visitor visa. My husband was sponsoring her. My husband is on H1B and I am on H4.
We have sent all required supporting docs like I-134, Invitation letter, bank statement etc etc.
Visa Officer has asked the following questions. langauage was in Kannada.
1. Since how long your daughter and son in law in US? why she is visiting?
she answered as 3 years and she wants to visit us
2.With whom you are staying in india
She answerd as staying with her son who is working in bangalore
3. Is there any property in her name...
she said yes
4. Is she working
she said no
5. Then what she is doing for her food and stay?
she said she is staying with her son.
Thats all questions and they have and issued 214(b). They have not even looked any of the documents.
Actually she has just forgotten to tell that she is getting pension (Husband was teacher)
She is 62 yrs old
We are confused as what else could be the reason that they want more info for her commitment to come back to her country?
We really want help while reapplying as they want the evidence that she is coming to US for temp purpose and she will not work here.
