B1/B2 - occupation and visa type questions

I'm applying B1/B2 visa for my FIL. He did not study and basically self-constructing houses and gets income from house rent. He is paying taxes in India. what is the occupation should I put for him in DS form? - confused with Business/ Other/ Not Employed - and what to fill in the organisation details !!

one another question I have is: should I select B1/B2 or just B2 in the visa section? does it matter? - I heard like - even if we apply B2, the printed visa will have B1/B2?

In my opinion, you should apply for what you really want (i.e. B2 visa). Most possible that he might get B1/B2 both.
