Hi:
can a person living in hyderabad take an appointment for US consulate in mumbai for visitors visa? As chennai consulate is showing a 64 days waiting list. Please let me know.

Yes.. you can take .. provided you are appearing first time and dont have language problem. Mumbai consulate may not be able to provide you Telgu interpreter

I went through a few rules. It says that you need to have an emergency situation to go to another consulate like medical. We do have an emergency but its not medical. I am getting married and wanted my brother to invite for my wedding. So wanted to know if this reason is ok to get an appointment at mumbai consulate instead of madras. And also can i take an appointment at chennai consulate and then ask for an appointment also at mumbai. Will this create problems. have 2 appointments. please let me know. Thanks
