Extend stay or file a petition

Hi! My mom is here in the US using a tourist visa, her i 94 entry will expire on Nov. 19. I will have my interview for citizenship on Oct 15. I am not sure if i will have to file for an extension of stay first or file a petition (in case everything goes well with the citizenship process) what would be the best thing to do?

If you file her immigrant petition, then your extension will be definitely denied, causing her mark her overstay.
