U.S. Contact in DS160

Hi,

while filling out the DS-160 Form I need to give a U.S. Point of Contact Information. I can check "Do not know" for contact person or organisation name, but still I need to fil in the address.

Because I will travel trough the U.S. as a tourist I can just give the address of my hotel. Is that ok? Even if I will stay just for couple of days in that hotel (I will travel trough CA so I will visit couple of hotels).

If I want to visit the US alone and have no contacts there, what information would I enter as a "Point of Contact?"

U.S. Point of Contact: Enter the name of your contact in the U.S. If you do not have a contact in the U.S., check the box “Do Not Know” and in “Organization Contact” enter the name of the hotel where you will be staying. In the case of a day trip across the border, enter the shopping mall or store where you will shop.

Address and Phone Number of Point of Contact: Enter the address of your contact in the U.S. If you checked “Do Not Know” to this question, enter the address of the shopping mall or store that you entered in the “Organization contact” question; for the phone number, enter all “9’s” if you do not know the store phone number.

i dont think so, if you look at tips right in front of that section. it says a person who can verify you by identifying you. if needed.
