Not getting appointment in Mumbai

Hi,

I am trying to schedule appointment at Mumbai consulate for visitor visa for my parents. They are not fluent in English so I am trying for Marathi. From last 3 days whenever I get time I go to VFS website and try to schedule but no luck. Does anybody know if the dates are opened for a specific time period? I am in EST - new York.

This is a pain. What business logic VFS was thinking of while implementing this? Do they expect people to visit website all day and see if slot is open?

Hi Prashant,

Try Fridays & Mondays around 6.30 am CDT i.e 5.30am EST.

Check around this time almost everyday.

I was trying this morning since 6.15 EST after every 5 min. and finally got it at 7.30AM.

Hello Prashant:

I am doing my parents visa through a visa agent in Mumbai and all the time he has been giving excuses that dates for Marathi are not open yet. Just like to know what date did you found for your parents and if you could let me know the date range that you found open for Marathi so that I can push my visa agent accordingly. Your advice on this would help me a lot.

Appointment dates

Hi,

When I saw this morning (EST) it was showing dates for 15April, 26,27,28,29,30.

I booked for my parents and when checked again after I finished their application they were not available.

I was trying to do this for last 4 days with no luck. Its a pain.

Normally slots are open on Friday and Monday.

You should check if the slot is open or not everyday at early morning 8.30AM to 10AM, 3PM and 4.30 to 5.30PM IST. I think chances are more at 3 to 5PM IST that is 5.30EST to 8.30EST.

In your case it is best that you take following info from your agent and try it every day as a mission. I am sure agents are not going to slog on it.

Hi,

I have to travel to US for a tourism (some conference) on 8th May. I am checking dates for last 10 days but no success. I called VFS helpline and they told that dates got open and freezed till 21st Apr.
I am worried for my VISA fees which i have paid and now if i don't get it, it will be waste. Pls guide

VISA fees are valid for 1year. Read my previous reply and try same. Friday and Monday.
