Hello,
This forum is a great help but unfortunately, I was not able to find an answer for my case - so had to start this thread.
I am on F1 visa and I completed my studies in December. I am on OPT currently and earning $4000 per month through my internship.
I want to invite my parents and younger sister for my commencement ceremony in May and was wondering if I should be their sponsor.
My parents have more than INR 10 lac in liquid assets and more than INR 40 lac in fixed assets. However, due to tax purposes they do not show a very high monthly income.
My question is - who would be a better sponsor, me or my dad? Just wondering because I was not able to find anyone with student visa who acted as a sponsor on this site.
