Shortly I will move to the US to start working for a US employer. My wife's company (not in the US) has agreed to let her continue working remotely (for less than 6 months) while she moves with me. I know that it is not allowed for H4 dependents to work remotely while in the US. Is it possible for my wife to come in B2 visa (that she already has) and work for her current (foreign) employer for 4-5 months? There is some discussion regarding the difference between tax laws and immigration laws with regards to this. Should she file for income tax if she works remotely for a foreign worker while in the US in B2 visa?

She can continue to work remotely from USA for her home country company & continue to get salary there. She cannot work in USA & cannot get paid in USD.
She will need to file taxes in her home country only.- I am not an Attorney, hence not giving any legal advice. Just sharing MY opinion with an intent to help others.
