Visitor visa for Widow Mother

Hello,

My father passed away last December and my mother travelled with my brother to Australia. As we wanted her to visit the US before she went back to India, we applied for her visiter visa from Sydney, not knowing that you have to apply for visa from your home country. Her application was rejected.

She will now be traveling to India and will be applying for her visa again from Hyderabad. I wanted to find out what supporting documentation that would bolster her chances of getting the visa this time around.

Basically she need to prove that she is not dependent on you & will be returning back to her home country.

Since she is already living in Australia, she is not proving ties to home country. So you need to prove that she will return back & won't stay with you for long time.
