Waiting on the status change og B2

Hi,

Can anybody give me the information.


My wife came here on VISITOR VISA. I applied for the status change (VISITOR to F1). The case is pending thats in Initial Review. But her VISITOR stay here is going to expire on May 13, 2010. If we don't get the status change notification before May13, what can we do? Or if we get that approved after she gone to India, then what can we do in that case.

Please anybody can suggest me in that.

Even after May 13, 2010, she can stay until the decision is made, or 240 days, whichever is earlier.
