Hi

My father passed away recently.I couldn't go to India as I am pregnant and had some complications in my pregnancy.I am totally depressed.I would like to bring my mother in March for my delivery for giving me emotional support. I have a brother who is working in India and my grandma(father's mother) who is living with my mother now. Can I give a letter from my obgyn stating this to the officer at the Chennai consulate? Please share your thoughts.

Reason for tourist visa is just "tourism"

If you give pregnancy as reason, most likely she will be denied visa.
