  • Visa appointment for minor child and father

My mother has a B2 visa (valid for 9 more years) but my father and sister (13 years old) do not have visas. We are in the process of applying for their B2 visas. My question is, how should the interviews be scheduled? Can they have their interview together? Do both parents need to accompany the minor? Or does she simply have to interview separately? In which case should they mention that my father is also applying for a visa during her interview?

    Thank you!

Since your mother already has visa - she don't need to attend the interview or do anything else.

Your father need to follow the normal process for visa application.

For your sister also, you'll need to fill in DS160, pay visa fee etc, and your father can carry your sister's passport for the interview (she don't need to attend the interview, because she is <14 yrs old) & both will get visa at the same time.
