Time Gap for 2nd appearance

Hi,
My mothers visa got rejected under section 214(B) at chennai consulate on Nov 29. I have booked for an appointment on Jan 10. I was just wondering what would be best time gap to apear again. Is one and half months sufficient for applying again. Is there any advantage if I wait for more months say 6 months, for appearing 2nd time. Please advise me on this.
