I am on F1-want sponsor for parents

hi,
I am on F1 visa,doing phd. so I get stipend but very little. I want my parents to visit me for 5-6 months. i am married and my husband is on H1 but started working recently so not much bank balance.
so1. is it OK for me to sponsor my parents

Someone can sponsor if they can really take care of the expenses of the visitor's trip.

As long as you can actually do it, there is no problem in sponsoring.
