  • Sponsoring Visitors Visa

I am filling for in-laws. I plan to sponsor their trip. I don't have whole lot of savings but I can definitely afford ticket prices and food expenses. We aren't planning lot of traveling. They just want to visit to spend time with their grandkid. Is there a minimum I need to show that can guarantee application is not rejected due to insufficient funds or something?

If I wanted to get her uncle or aunt to sponsor her parents, what would be the process?

    Thank you

Best would be to have them sponsor their own visit.

If you had to sponsor them, then a normal saving is fine (~$3000 per person per month) is fine.

Thank you for your response. I think it is fine. Based on what you have said, I should be able to sponsor.

A few thousand dollars would suffice is you don't plan to do any activities or traveling. However, I'd suggest focusing more on actually presenting a good reason to the consulate for traveling to the US. It's very easy to get slapped with the 214b... and if so, all your planning for sponsorship (which isn't required by the way for visitor visas) will have gone to waste.

Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.
