New i539 for B1/B2 extension

Hello everyone,,
I am applying for my mothers and my B2 visa extension. Can she be my co-applicant with me being the primary applicant. I see instructions that a co-applicant includes spouse and unmarried children under https://homestuffpro.com 21 years of age.
