I was convicted with a misdemeanor in 2004 when i was in college in USA, however the record wasn't serious enough for a removal. But I fell out of my F1 status for taking too many online classes later in 2005 and that is when the immigration judge decided to issue me a voluntary deportation in 2007 after some petitions and all that. However I decided to stay and finish my degree. I left USA in 2010 after graduation and diploma. Now it will be 10 years since I left USA voluntarily, and I believe I can go back for a visit later in 2020. All I need to do is apply for a visa at the consulate and be honest about my past for both consulate and the border agents? or do i need to apply for some waivers etc...
