I am applying for B2 Visitor visa for my parents.
I read on https://ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-paymentinfo.asp that once i have filled DS-160 form, then the MRV fee for the visa application can be paid using National Electronic Funds Transfer mechanism (NEFT).
(1) I live in the US and I am applying for B2 Visitor visa for my parents. So can I make the payment of rhte MRV fee from my US based bank account or does the payment have to be made from my parents' Indian bank account since they are the applilants ?
(2) When i show proof of my Bank Account balance in my US bank account , can I show account balance of some US CD (Certificate of Deposit) account like a 1 year Fixed CD account or do I have to show only the balance from my US Savings/Checking account ? I am asking this because the balance in my CD is more but in my Savings/Checking there is not much balance as I usually transfer funds from my US Savings/Checking account to my US CD accounts due to higher interest rate.
Your clarification on above 2 questions is much appreciated.
thanks
