How do the consulate know the following:
1) For how long was the I-94 given on the previous visit. Because the date is stamped only on the I-94 which will be returned at the time of leaving and not on the passport.
For eg. If the I-94 is valid beyond the visa expiration date and as a result the person stays in the US beyond expiration date how will the consulate officer know that we did not overstay?
